Course content
True North: The Confident Communicator — Curriculum Rev 03. 13 weekly modules, 26 applied assignments, one quiz per module.
- One-semester college course, fully online through a secure course site (Fall and Spring terms)
- Enrollment up to 150 students per semester
- 13 weekly modules — assigned readings/media, two applied assignments, and a quiz or test each
- 13 module quizzes, a Module 9 DiSC/EQ midterm, a Module 11 Death by PowerPoint test, and a final capstone with comprehensive exam
Modules unlock sequentially. A student must score 80% or higher on a module quiz before the next module opens. Module 1 is available once the classroom opens 72 hours after confirmed payment (or an earlier staff release).
Mastery Artifacts = 45% of the grade. Recall-based assessment = 35%. Everyday assignments = 20%.
Mastery Artifact 1 — The Strengths Story
Rubric-scored portion of the Module 13 capstone pitch: a rehearsed 60-second strengths story naming a specific CliftonStrengths talent and its concrete value to an employer
Mastery Artifact 2 — Written Style-Adaptation Portfolio
Best-of-four score across Assignments 5.2, 6.2, 7.2, 8.2 plus the Module 9 Style-Flex Plan
Mastery Artifact 3 — The Delivered Presentation
Rubric-scored portion of the Module 13 capstone pitch: Credibility Code delivery and Death by PowerPoint slide design applied together
